The Year Institutional Finance Moved On Chain

2025 was a stellar year for IntellectEU partnerships and collaboration. We joined Ubyx Association, Digital Euro Association, and we became a Canton Network validator and board member. These relationships position us for deeper impact across decentralized finance. And we look forward to driving change alongside our new partners through 2026.
We were pleased to be able to maximize our engagement this year with the Canton ecosystem, investing in Tharimmune’s private placement, supporting Societe Generale with its first U.S. digital bond issuance, and launching a brand new application registry - Catalyst Package Manager - to help Canton participants more easily access and distribute applications.
The year closed with news that capital market giant DTTC had received SEC clearance to tokenize significant portions of its assets, and that it had chosen Canton as the place to make it happen, joining Euroclear as co-chair on the Canton Foundation board.
All signs suggest that DeFi has finally achieved institutional exit velocity. Our message: seize 2026 as the year you get up to speed with this technology. Speak with our team to begin creating a realistic roadmap.
Sibos is always an important moment in the IntellectEU event calendar. And this year, in a series of expert panels at Sibos 2025, we used our time to address the disruptive forces of Artificial Intelligence and distributed ledger technologies.
IntellectEU's Hanna Zubko shared insights on the deployment of agentic AI and the looming impact of quantum computing on financial resilience. And we advocated for a collaborative ecosystem where banks and fintechs work together to create smarter payment flows, arguing that the future belongs to institutions that leverage their inherent trust while embracing these next-generation technologies.
We also partnered with colleagues at Ubyx for a deep dive into another force that will soon reshape banking: stablecoins and takenized deposits.
IntellectEU Head of Delivery Bruno Almeida took the stage to outline the transformative potential of these innovations. The session provided an exploration of how shifting regulatory policies are reshaping the nature of money.
We also advanced our AI practice with projects in GenAI for a major market infrastructure provider, as well developing our own powerful AI solution for unstructured-to-structured data translation for ISO 20022 adoption.
