The upcoming change
As part of Standard Release 2026, Swift will remove unstructured postal addresses from the network.
From 14 November 2026, payment messages that do not meet structured address requirements will no longer be supported. Financial institutions must ensure their data is prepared ahead of this deadline.
This creates a direct risk of:
Payment rejections
Operational disruption
Increased exception handling
What is required
ISO 20022 introduces strict requirements for address data.
At a minimum, the following fields must be provided:
Town or City
Country disruption

Catalyst Data Intelligence uses AI to structure address data in line with ISO 20022 requirements, integrating seamlessly into existing payment flows while maintaining full control over data and models.
