Supporting the Industry's Transition
From 14 November 2026, fully unstructured postal addresses will no longer be permitted in CBPR+ payment messages. Where postal address information is provided, it must be supplied in either a fully structured or hybrid format.
To support this transition, Swift introduced the Postal Address Registered Provider program. Providers included in the directory have confirmed that their applications can convert unstructured postal address data into compliant structured or hybrid formats. Self-attestations are valid for one year and apply to production-ready solutions.
For organizations preparing for ISO 20022, the directory provides additional confidence when selecting technologies to support compliance and improve data quality.
Helping Improve Payment Data Quality
Catalyst Data Intelligence enables organizations to:
- Automatically convert unstructured postal address data into fully structured and hybrid postal address formats
- Improve data quality before payment messages enter downstream processing
- Reduce manual repairs and payment exceptions
- Increase straight-through processing
- Accelerate ISO 20022 readiness
Built for Real-World Payment Data
Address structuring is rarely straightforward.
Financial institutions work with decades of customer information spread across multiple systems, channels, and jurisdictions. Address data is often incomplete, inconsistent, or stored in different formats, making accurate transformation far more complex than simple parsing.
Purpose-built for payment data and ISO 20022 workflows, Catalyst Data Intelligence uses AI to analyse, interpret, and structure complex postal address data while giving organizations full control over deployment and model training. Deployed on premises, it enables institutions to retain control over sensitive data while improving data quality at scale.
Whether processing historical customer records or validating new payment instructions, the solution helps reduce manual effort and improve data quality before payment messages are sent.
"The transition to structured postal addresses is about much more than meeting a compliance deadline. It presents an opportunity for financial institutions to improve payment data quality, reduce operational friction, and increase automation across the payment lifecycle. We're proud that IntellectEU has been listed by Swift as a Postal Address Registered Provider for Catalyst Data Intelligence, giving organizations additional confidence in a solution purpose-built for ISO 20022 payment data."
